blaise nauyokas | principal & creative
director
As an art director, Blaise has been steadily winning awards since he
started his career with Cross Associates, Los Angeles in 1984. Working
for this prestigious firm, his design skills flourished.
Within a few years, he enhanced his design ability with conceptual art
direction and sought a position in the world of advertising.
Blaise eventually moved south and joined San Diego’s most creative agency,
Franklin & Assoc. (later Franklin Stoorza). In time, he accepted
a position as Associate Creative Director at Arnold • Buck • Inc
•. There he honed his creative and marketing skills down to a science.
In 1990, Blaise started his own advertising and design business.
With an arsenal of creative skills, marketing savvy and a network of
established professionals, his company thrived.
In 2000, with the increase of multi-media and internet related projects, Blaise incorporated his business under the name BrainShine. His focus on multi-channel brand development and marketing has lead to increased success as his firm continues to grow.
Blaise has freelanced as a senior art director for all of San Diego’s
top agencies. He’s also been an instructor and guest lecturer at The
Advertising Arts College (now the Art Institute), teaching classes in
art direction, copywriting and design.
Recently Blaise was one of nine professionals asked to help guide the
advertising program at the Art Institute, a nationally accredited college
with over 45 campuses in the U.S. & Canada, and has worked with
parent company EDMC to develop their Advertising & Design Masters
program.
Today he is the President and Creative Director of BrainShine with a
diverse list of national and international clients.
